St. Martin’s feast
During St. Martin’s Day, you will come across young wine almost everywhere in Slovenia. In addition to tasting the new vintage of wine in restaurants, taverns, wine cellars and at organized martinis, you can taste the noble drop in other ways.
In addition to the celebration of the new wine harvest, Martinovo also has its own typical dishes, among which, in addition to poultry, the most typical are roasted goose or duck with millets and stewed red cabbage. You will find Martin’s menus in most restaurants in Slovenia. Among the must-have dishes, you can also try cakes, potica and other sweet delicacies.
